I'm not at all an expert on X11 (and I'm barely familiar with it) but if we are allowing to change stuff in core and if I understand things correctly, instead of overlaying an InputOnly window over every screen and then trying to route inputs through, wouldn't it be possible to instead have one workspace-root window per workspace and make each other window on that workspace a child of it? |
